We made our way out of Great Falls. I think we agree that we won't stay in Great Falls again, at least not that hotel. The staff weren't that great and the room smelled terrible. On the whole people in the area were...well, odd. Kind of 'Twin Peaks' odd for those who remember the movie/show. Nice enough but something was off.
The drive to the border was uneventful and easy. We both thought entry into Canada was going to be a pain as I am taking two guns through. I completely expected them to tear the truck apart and ensure I had only two. Seems being prepared and having all the right documents made them happy. Just a few questions and 25 Canadian dollars later we were on our way. The drive to Calgary was easy and the scenery not that dramatic. Lots of farmland.
We got into the hotel and went out to dinner. We ate at the Cactus Club Cafe where the menu is set by Canada's first Iron Chef America winner. Sorry don't remember his name. Food was great and service was good just one thing eh. Shannon and I were completely ready to here the obligatory eh but we didn't. What did hear over and over again was 'fer sure'. WTF? Are we in California? Fer sure! I kid you not that is what they were saying.
Well it's time for bed and Cerys is not cooperating.
