Empty House

Today we finished cleaning out the house of any little bits of us - small beads and a ball, lotions and potions the packers wouldn't pack, food in the fridge. When we were done we swam in the pool together one last time. The sun was blinding and the water was 89˚, ("like swimming in spit", as my dear friend Susan says) but we stayed in until pruney anyway. We did a final family 'Ring Around the Rosie' and said goodbye to it. We are ready to be done with the house now. The packing up this week was not a wonderful experience, and we're just ready to get on with it. We'll have a little bit of time here to enjoy friends and our favorite places, and then FINALLY the adventure will begin!
