We finally made it back to the USA! We have had limited Internet access and then my laptop decided to die, so we haven't updated this like we wanted to. In fact, I'm typing on my phone while Cerys snores on one side and Jason snores on the other, so I'll be brief!
Canada was lovely (aside from that last stretch of Alaska highway. Holey asphalt, Batman, that was insanely rough!). We saw very few animals, despite all the signs warning us of them. We did finally get to see bison - a whole herd on the road! So cool! We glimpsed a black bear and a couple elk. We startled a goat. We saw numerous ravens. That was about it.
Tonight we are in Tok, which is pretty much dead and closed for the season. One restaurant is still open (NOT the one where we are staying...). So, no breakfast in the morning but they did give me a whole gallon of milk tonight when I asked for a cup for Cerys. They needed to get rid of it anyway. Hah!
Tomorrow we'll arrive in our temporary digs (30 days max) on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. JBER for short. I hope it's nice. We're excited to see our friends the Starkeys tomorrow, too!
Well, enough for now!

So glad to know you will be at your final destination, meaning the city. A large task still looms, a house to call home. Then you can "relax" , yea right.
